With bare, but washed hands, I take photos, walking around Pavilion Lake. I admire flowers, all the while stepping aside from the path when anyone comes by. There are bright daffodils in a perfectly arranged garden, not a thing out of place, it would seem. That sign that says "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord" has always been there. After dropping bags in the cabin and claiming a bunk, the dock is the first place I go. Hey, I'm April. I'm a Christian, a passionate writer/artist, feminist, Francophile and theologian-in-progress. I also identify as queer/a lesbian. If you don't think a Christian can identify as such, than I encourage you to do research on the matter; you might be surprised with what you find.

I'm no longer active on this site anymore. You can find me posting more often on Twitter and Instagram @ April_TheWriter. But when I was active on this site, I posted my poetry, short fiction, and non-fiction. I have decided not to delete my account because it's kind of a perfect documentation of the journey I took during my college experience- I went from being a conservative evangelical to a progressive Christian, and I accepted my lesbian identity in that process.
